Description
Kent’s First Repertoire in French – Georges Broussalian Fiftieth Anniversary (1965–2015) Edouard, out of respect for and in memory of our family history, asked me to recount all the twists and turns of my struggle to translate and publish the first Kent Repertory in French. With the translation completed in 1965, we had to wait until 1966 for publication, in accordance with copyright law. So it is already 50 years since the first print run of 1,000 copies of the Directory was printed. Contrary to all expectations, it quickly sold out, and three editions and five print runs were produced between 1966 and 1990. That is 10,000 books distributed in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain and South America. Orders poured in from all walks of life: doctors, pharmacists, vets, osteopaths, midwives, biologists and farmers. Today, there are still a few copies left of both the large and small formats on Bible paper. I think everyone will want to own a copy of this historic work.
