In a nutshell

The first level of teaching presents all the reasoning and observation of the first 70 Aphorisms of the Organon. Its aim is literally to teach you how to learn. The idea here is to make it clear that homeopathy is not an option, but the only rational way of prescribing medicinal substances.
To participate, you need: intelligence, curiosity, an open mind and common sense. This level allows anyone, even non-medical or non-scientific people, to discover what the term "homeopathy" really means.
Warning: the content is highly addictive, and usually the whole family gets involved!

Clinical approach (±10 hours)

We're going to start by gently rubbing shoulders with clinical reality. Through a dozen clinical cases, you'll discover... how cases are discovered! Dr. Broussalian will also comment on clinical cases published by the great Adolf Lippe.

Medical Subjects (±14 hours)

To begin with, you need to know about a few medicines that you'd take with you if you had to live on a desert island.
How to use dynamizations Pulsatilla, Nux vomica, Gelsemium and Ignatia make up this first group of essentials. They are complemented by traumatic drugs to help you deal with everyday knocks and bumps.

History of homeopathy (±6 ? hours)

Just as you can't conceive of a tree without roots, it's impossible to become a homeopath without a basic understanding of history. In an "infernal" tandem with Dr. Bruno Laborier, Edouard Broussalian will take you on a journey through Hahnemann's beginnings in his discovery of the New Principle.

Commitment contract

The school's values are the guideline for your entire learning experience. It's essential to read and understand the IHS charter, and to refer to it whenever you need to.

SUPPORT

Doctor Edouard Broussalian will support you during your training, with monthly group supervisions via videoconference. You will also benefit from bi-monthly Q&A meetings with your tutor.

CERTIFICATIONS

The exam is compulsory for those wishing to continue in the program. Students who have completed all the videos take the exam at one of the two clinical seminars. Successful completion of this first level exam enables you to continue your Master's degree in Homeopathy.

Who is Doctor Edouard Broussalian?

Born in 1962, he studied Kent's Organon and Repertory on his own at the age of 15, benefiting from the experience of his father Georges, himself a direct pupil of Geneva-based homeopathic master Dr Pierre Schmidt, who had travelled to the USA in 1922 to study with Kent's disciples.
Throughout his medical studies at Grenoble University, he continued to prescribe for nursing staff and their families. When he became an intern, he achieved resounding results in the psychiatry department, where he began his career. Then, throughout the hospital, he continued to achieve astonishing results, which sometimes got him into trouble.
He settled in Annecy in 1989, and from then on began an overflowing practice. To date, he has more than 130,000 cases to his credit.
He wrote books that quickly became standard references, such as his first complete translation of the Kent Repertory, as well as numerous articles.
When asked "Why Edouard Broussalian?", his students say it's because of his human qualities of benevolence, generosity, sharing, rigour and accuracy, which come together at every level of his teaching.

My belief in keeping homeopathy alive is this:
We need to teach ordinary people how to treat everyday ailments, such as colds, flu, coughs, bronchitis, and sinusitis, using homeopathy, so that demand for homeopathic remedies from general practitioners comes from the bottom up.
In the 1970s, there was a journal called Les annales homéopathiques (Homeopathic Annals) which described either a polychrest or the symptoms of a disease and how to treat it.
I think a journal aimed at the general public would be a significant plus, especially if it could be sent by email, which would be easy.

You can't understand homeopathy until you've studied it!
That's what I realized when I finished the last packages and thought back to what I knew before my course. Studying the text left behind by its creator—the Organon—feels like both an obstacle course and a true initiation. Homeopathy cannot be understood by those who only scratch the surface! In this age of turbo training, it is very enjoyable and educational to study over three or four years, in concentric circles of integration, both the laws and principles and the materia medica.
