The parcels have all arrived safe and sound, having cleared customs successfully! We’re relieved.

The pallets are now with the logistics provider in France, who will arrange for them to be sent to your respective addresses.

Following numerous telephone calls between India and France, our transport agent sent us the final invoice with a detailed breakdown of the costs per parcel to your respective addresses.

We will send you the final Excel spreadsheet containing all the details.

The costs are: – Freight from India to France; customs clearance; customs duties (7%); VAT (20%); transport to the logistics provider; order processing; and delivery by courier (post or DPD) to your home.

The total cost of these charges per parcel is 399 CHF. So List C consists of a single parcel, List B has 5 parcels and List A has 6 parcels.

The average cost price per tube is less than 4 CHF. This works out at less than a fifth of the cost of ordering from Europe. Here is an example:

Before we dispatch the goods to your addresses, we ask that you settle the costs of transport, VAT, customs duties and logistics. At the moment, the price included 200 CHF for delivery, but you will understand that 200 CHF for 27 kg of goods spread across 6 parcels is simply not realistic.

By way of comparison, we helped someone to have their parcels repatriated after they had been held up for a year. Their six parcels were processed separately, and the costs were much higher: this person incurred just over 3,400 CHF in additional charges for the order, which works out at 566 CHF per parcel.
