Clinical Seminar in Skoura, 12–13 October 2024

Here we go again and this time we hope, of course, that this will become a regular event, with the next seminar already scheduled for the autumn.

This autumn, I have chosen the enchanting setting of the Skoura Oasis near Ouarzazate, not far from Isabelle Rossi’s home. Influenced by our Moroccan friends, I gave in to the lure of this beautiful country, where I was lucky enough to live for a few years. We’ll therefore be treated to hospitality that will leave you speechless, excellent food, and a breathtaking setting.

Transport: Transavia offers return flights for around €150 from Paris, and Ryanair offers flights from Marseille at roughly the same price, both with direct flights to Ouarzazate.

ACCOMMODATION: Isabelle Rossi takes care of everything. For a three-day stay, allow around 300 euros for a double room, including the Berber evening with méchoui!! Please write to him to make a booking, she will allocate them to the various holiday cottages.

TIMETABLE: Saturday morning to Sunday evening:

Saturday 12th at 9.00 am. Please arrive an hour early so that we can start on time.

Sunday 13th: 9.00 am.

I’m not specifying an end time as we can easily go into extra time. And why not even see some cases on Monday?

 

EXAMS :

May take place on Friday or Monday; the date is yet to be confirmed.

THE SEMINAR :

It’ll be the classic seminar you’ve come to love, with Ed working without a safety net right before your eyes. I’ll be analysing clinical cases live with patients I’ve never met before. Thanks to the video control room and multiple cameras, we’ll be able to follow the consultation as it unfolds in real time, and the whole room will be able to interact live as well. The aim of the seminar is to demonstrate how to refine your approach to taking a case, by detailing the entire process of analysis, synthesis and reflection that leads to the selection of the most appropriate remedy. You’re guaranteed to make progress in case-taking, materia medica and the repertory!

This event is primarily reserved for students at the school (it is strongly recommended that you have already completed the first year of the Organon course), but all practitioners are welcome. Those wishing to participate who are not PH students are only permitted to attend a clinical seminar once; after which they are asked to undertake the essential process of studying the Organon; otherwise, one remains merely a prescriber of simple remedies but never becomes a homeopath (yes, I know I’m making plenty of friends by speaking my mind, but unlike them, I don’t think I’m any better than Hahnemann).

PATIENTS:

We’ll be recruiting patients on site. I promise you some fascinating cases, as these are people in excellent health, and our understanding of materia medica is likely to take a giant leap forward. ! You are still free to offer the trip to people who would like to have a consultation. Of course, there is the confidentiality agreement that you have all signed; for their part, patients do not pay anything but do grant the right to use their image.

COURSES:

We will be holding Jean-Claude Ravalard’s traditional course on Materia Medica, as well as sessions with other guest speakers.

REGISTRATION:

Registration fees: 260 CHF, excluding meals on site.

360 CHF for registrations made after 1 September 2024.

In the event of cancellation, the following charges will apply:

– more than 30 days before the seminar: no charge
– between 30 and 15 days: 50 per cent of the total cost of the seminar
– less than 15 days: 100 per cent of the total cost of the seminar
